rest in peace my friend

test results came in this morning showing that my friend Toes the Cat had cancer. it was present on several of his organs and certainly terminal. instead of trying to extend his life and bring more pain, suffering and humiliating treatments into his life, we had him humanely euthanized. he fell gently asleep for the last time about half an hour ago.

he was a good friend and the most cuddly cat i've ever known. he would tuck himself under your arm and sleep pressed up next to you on his side all night if you let him (which we often did). he was full of attitude and energy when he was healthy and a light in all our lives.

So sorry to hear about Toes. I know how deeply your love of cats is, seems we always had a cat or two (or three!) in our lives. I don't know what I'd do without mine!
Hugs to you....
Bye Toes..

All my sympathy. Toes reminds me my cat Charlie that was also a black cat with a touch of color here and then. I can still hear him from time to time scratching at the door although he has left for the Paradise of the Tuna Cans a long time ago. :'-(

Sorry to hear about this Aaron. We hope all is well as it can be hard to lose a pet as gentle as that.

Hey man, that was a tough decision! Even though it's the right thing to do, it's still very difficult.

I went through the same last December, and it's tough. Weeks later, I still kept walking around the apartment to see what the cat was up to out of reflex, or habitually made sure the bathroom door was open so it would have access to its litter box.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I've been reading all the news you've been posting about your beloved Toes. I'm very sorry about your loss. I've never had a pet but I can perfectly asume that there's always a deep emotional and affectional link between a pet and its owner.
Just remember him the way he's been for all his life; don't remember the time he's been ill.

I admire your strength and I feel pain for your loss. But I am sure he has had a very good life with you. Animals deserve our love.

My family have always been big cat lovers since way back when, and it's horrible when you lose them. It's horrible losing any pet you're attached to, but cats have always had that certain something for me. They're definitely one of God's creatures.

I'm feeling really sad for your lost.

Big hug to you.

Best regards,

I am very sorry to hear that. People that don't have pets often don't understand that sometimes it's even harder to lose a pet than a relative.

But once I had a dog, which grew up with me and everything he learned, he learned from me. When he was 10 years he suffered from a similar cancer like your cat.

As a cat loving person I feel with you! Heads up!

My sympathies to you. I still miss my cat, Tiger, and she passed away more than 20 years ago. It sounds like you cared deeply about Toes. At least he is no longer in pain. For as long as you have memories of him, he will never really be dead.

I could not imagine how sad I would personally be if either of my two two dogs died. We consider our dogs to be part of the family and I think many people do that too (their respective pets). Thus I am quite sorry to hear the news. :-(

Aaron,

Sorry for your pet friend. I already know how hard losing a lovely friend is, and how unforgettable it is.
I had a poodle named Pingo (brazilian word for "dot". His previous name was Pinguço, what means one who's addicted to alcoholic beverage - his previous owner gave him beer on a daily basis - a behavior I stopped as soon as he became my responsibility), and he was a very smart and lovely friend, despite some crazy manners he had from time to time. He died from medical negligence, when he was sent so a "doctor" to clean his teeth. The amnestesy overdose killed him.
I hope God puts pet's souls in a good place where, who knows, they wait for us when we pass too...

You have my sympathy my friend. I am a fellow cat lover. I have a bengal named India Jewel. My wife and I have no children so India is certainly a child figure to me. I love him as deeply as a parent loves a child.
